Clarke Schools' birth to age three program

Hands holding a red heart.

Clarke's Birth to Age Three Program

Partners in Hearing has been providing grants to Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech in New York City (Clarke New York) to address some of the barriers facing children who are deaf or hard of hearing, often with cochlear implants.  We adjust our grant making to the needs of the School after consulting its professional staff.  We have successfully supported Clarke's Bridging the Gap: Support for Children Who Are Late Identified/Late Implant & Their Families and its tVisit Teleservices Program.

We now extend our grant making in support of Clarke's Birth to Age Three Program, an early intervention service for infants and toddlers who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. Through this program, parents and other primary caregivers of children newly diagnosed with hearing loss discover how to enrich their baby’s life with meaningful sound and language through individualized sessions, while also connecting with other families in a supportive environment.

We also help Clarke New York bridge the gap between public reimbursements of their services and their actual costs. In so doing, PIH ensures that Clarke can employ an adequate number of speech-language therapists to support the Birth to Age Three Program, and that no family will be waitlisted or denied service due to a lack of staffing.

We are on Mission with Clarke and making a difference!
